Ammunition Rye Whiskey

This is a blend of 2, 3 and 4 year old Rye Whiskey, finished no less than 3 months in wine barrels which previously held several vintages of Ammunition Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine finish adds a layer of dark fruit and subtle tannin that complements the spicy rye backbone — creating a whiskey that bridges the gap between the vineyard and the distillery.

On the nose, bright rye spice mingles with dried cherry and a whisper of oak. The palate delivers cracked pepper, toasted grain, and a wave of dark fruit from the wine cask finish. The finish is medium-long with lingering spice and a smooth, vinous sweetness.
