A peat-forward, smoky phenomenon, Ardbeg's classic style is accentuated further by “pungent earthiness, dark chocolate, and sharp peppermint". In making Heavy Vapours, the distillers removed the purifier connected to the still to impart more smoke in the whisky - with much success! Bottled without non-chill filtration, this masterful experimental whisky is the brainchild of the Director of Whisky Creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden of Ardbeg.
