Basil Hayden Dark Rye

Basil Hayden Dark Rye pushes the bounds of what a rye whiskey can be through a harmonious combination of three distinct liquid profiles. The mash bill starts with traditional Kentucky rye grain, then Canadian rye from our award-winning Alberta distillery is layered in. Finally, the whiskey is finished with a touch of California Port. Kentucky rye gives Basil Hayden Dark Rye a firm base of spice, rich oak, dried fruit and molasses, while Canadian rye accentuates the depth of the dried fruit adding a more substantial and viscous mouthfeel.
