Chartreuse V.E.P. Verte is the extra-aged expression of the legendary green Chartreuse liqueur, crafted by the Carthusian monks using a closely guarded recipe of 130 alpine herbs and plants. V.E.P. stands for Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé, or exceptionally prolonged aging, and this bottling spends significantly longer resting in oak casks than the standard Green Chartreuse, resulting in a deeper, rounder, more complex character. Expect layered notes of forest herbs, honey, and warm spice, with a smoother, more integrated finish than its younger counterpart.
