Writers Tears Cask Strength Irish Whiskey 2022 Limited Edition

The 2022 vintage of Writers’ Tears Cask Strength whiskey, the 12th edition of the super-premium expression from Walsh Whiskey, has been released. It is a unique cask strength whiskey crafted through an exceptional marriage of aged Single Pot Still and Single Malt Whiskey. Both whiskeys are triple distilled, natural non-chill filtered and aged in American Oak Bourbon barrels. Only 2,100 Bottles only

On the nose, the whiskey is complex and rich, with notes of vanilla, honey, and ripe fruit. Hints of toasted oak and spice can also be detected, adding to the whiskey's depth and complexity.

The palate is full-bodied and robust, with a silky smooth texture that coats the tongue. Flavours of caramel, toffee, and dark chocolate are present, along with a subtle sweetness that balances out the whiskey's boldness. The cask strength also adds a hint of spice, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove rounding out the flavor profile.
